ARTURO è stata una residenza artistica nella laguna di Venezia.

Con il pretesto di pulire la spiaggia e sfruttare tutti i materiali raccolti
un gruppo di artisti è stato invitato a creare installazioni sulla costa dell’isola di Pellestrina.

Dappertutto sulla spiaggia c’erano resti di plastica. La cosa interessante per me era sfruttare una parte di questo materiale per creare la mia opera. Sull’isola c’è una sede lella LIPU che si occupa della salvaguardia degli uccelli, quindi con questi pezzi di rete di plastica, anche molto lunghi, ho iniziato a intrecciare un nido. Poi ho cercato un luogo dove ci fossero dei rami e l’ho installato come un vero nido per uccelli.

ARTURO was an art residency in the Venice lagoon.

Under the pretext of cleaning the beach and taking advantage of all the materials collected
a group of artists was invited to create installations on the coast of the island of Pellestrina.

Everywhere on the beach there were remnants of plastic. The interesting thing for me was to use some of this material to create my work. There is a LIPU office on the island that is involved in bird conservation, so with these pieces of plastic netting, also very long, I started to weave a nest. Then I looked for a place where there were branches and installed it as a real bird’s nest.
